FUNCTIONAL FAMILY KITCHEN

This was the ultimate aesthetic upgrade. The layout was already smart and functional and the cabinets were in ok shape. In an effort to reuse some existing materials and minimize costs, but create a look the clients wanted which included removing the microhood and replacing it with something more custom, as well as replacing/upgading some appliances and brightening up the palette overall. We built a custom hood and contrasted the finish with the rest of the cabinetry to align with a new custom built island that accomodated a spot for a new microwave and smarter storage. We refinished all the existing cabinetry, installed new hardware, and chose a classic countertop that we carried up as the backsplash to keep things uniform. Mixed metals on the sink faucets helped complement the contrasted paint colors we chose for the island and hood in relation to the other cabinetry.
